Naughty Nige...

Nigel is a very lucky kitten. He came to Valley Vets as a stray and it was immediately obvious he had a severe problem with his right front leg. Nigel could not use the leg and it was twisted out at the wrong angle. Nigel clearly had a serious fracture in his upper arm.

No owner came forward and Nigel's "purrrrr-se" was empty! Luckily for him, the nurses took him under their wing and with a little "purrrr-suasion", Rob Harry agreed to fix Nigel's leg. Valley Vets donated the medicines and surgical implants he needed.

Between them, Rob and our new vet Rachel, "purrrrr-formed" delicate orthopaedic surgery to fix the broken bone with a small plate and screws.

Nigel spent 10 days in a small cage to encourage him to rest the leg, but he soon became restless and wanted some adventure. The nurse's set about kitten-proofing our staff room and he is now living the life of luxury watching day-time TV and stealing what food he can at lunch times.

His leg is healing well and Nigel will soon be able to go back to full activity outside. The only problem............... we have nowhere for him to go and try out his new bionic leg. Could you help? Could you offer Nigel the "purrrr-fect" home for him to complete his recovery and live a happy and healthy life?
