'I wanted to get in touch to say a massive thank you to the staff at the Ystrad branch for their patience, understanding and support over the last three weeks. We've been back and forth to the branch three times with our collie Harley, who had become really fearful of the surgery and having her check up.

We had two really difficult visits where Harley was too frightened to allow Huw near her but he spent such a long time earning her trust and tried every trick in the book with the help of Suzie. Huw and Suzie gave us some great advice on how to work with Harley to get her more used to coming to the surgery and Suzie even offered for us to book short appointments for a visit and a treat which will be really useful in getting her more relaxed with seeing a vet. We returned yesterday, after giving Harley a week or two to cool off, for an appointment with Sally. Sally was really understanding and happy to listen to the approach we thought best to make vaccination attempt three as easy as possible for Harley. Sally came out to the car park and met Harley in the boot of our car, spent some time greeting her and was able to give her the injection whilst Harley was distracted with lots of tasty ham. 

We are absolutely thrilled Harley was able to get her jab and are so impressed with the support we've had from the Ystrad staff. After three visits and multiple opened but unused medicines, we were only charged for the successful vaccination - evidence that the team really care about the pets they treat.
