Holly the Hero....

Meet Holly, a very clever two year old golden retriever.

Holly’s mum had made breakfast and after using the toaster pushed it back on the worktop. The timer button had stuck and she hadn't noticed the toaster was still on. The toaster quickly became very hot and had melted the heating controls for the central heating.

Holly was in the kitchen and was continually barking until her mum went out to see what all the fuss was about and realised what was wrong. When the engineer came out to fix the heating controls he advised Holly’s mum she was very lucky as it could’ve been very serious if Holly hadn’t alerted her.

Since then Holly now supervises her mum in the kitchen, especially if she's left pans simmering on the hob!!

What a clever girl!
