Chocolate Troubles...

Meet Grace, a three year old Beagle, who was brought in to our Caerphilly branch after eating four chocolate eggs.

Grace had eaten over twice the toxic dose, and required treatment, consisting of an injection to make her sick, intravenous fluids and charcoal by mouth. Grace needed intensive monitoring of her heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure throughout the day.

We are pleased to report that Grace made a full recovery and hopefully will keep her nose out of the chocolate treats in future!
